Artyom Dervoed's Biography
Artyom Dervoed was born in 1981 in Rostov-on-Don, Russia. He started his musical education at the age of six playing a seven string guitar at first, under the tuition of S. Annikov. He later switched to a normal six string guitar, studying with E. Svyatozarova in Moscow. In the early 90s, Artyom continued his studies at a music school in Moscow in the class of L. Reznik. He also graduated from a private music school "Young Talents", Music College named by Alfred Shnitke and Russian Gnesin’s Academy of Music in Professor Nickolay Komolyatov’s class. He has attended master classes of famous guitarists such as Remi Boucher, Roland Dyens, Fabio Zanon, Alexei Zimakov and others, and in 2005 he finished the 4th year of studies with Oscar Ghiglia in Academia Chigiana (Siena, Italy). Currently, Artyom is getting post-graduate education in Russian Gnesin’s Academy of Music with Nickolay Komolyatov and with Aniello Desiderio in Koblenz Guitar Academy (Germany). Artyom Dervoed has won numerous prizes in international guitar competitions. Some of his most important are: • 1995, Moscow (Russia), International competition "Young Musicians" — 1st prize; • 1996, Belgorod (Russia), All-Russian competition — 1st prize; • 1999, Carpentras (France), International competition dedicated to Leo Brouwer — 1st prize; • 2002, Voronezh (Russia), International competition "Guitar in Russia" — 2nd prize; • 2004, Cherepovets (Russia), International competition "Cup of the North" — 1st prize; • 2004, Ile de Re (France), International competition — 1st prize; • 2004, Sernancelhe (Portugal), International competition — 2nd prize; • 2005, Rust (Austria), International competition "John Duarte" — 3d prize; • 2005, Tokyo (Japan), 48th international guitar competition — 3d prize; • 2006, Koblenz (Germany), international guitar competition — 2nd prize (1st prize was not been awarded); • 2006, Netanya (Israel), international competition "Guitar Gems" — 2nd prize; • 2006, Mottola (Italy) — 2nd prize. • 2006 Alessandria (Italy)- 1 st Prize To the present, Artyom Dervoed has performed in all famous Moscow concert-halls, such as Big Hall of Moscow Conservatory, Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, Rachmaninoff’s hall and others. His performances were aired by TV and radio stations in different countries. He toured the USA, France, Italy, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Lebanon, Ukraine and many cities in Russia. He has also played with several famous Russian orchestras. In March 2006 Artyom performed with Yuri Bashmet’s orchestra “New Russia” at the 1st international festival "Guitar virtuosos" in Tchaikovsky hall in Moscow. |
