Victor Villadangos's Biography

Victor Villadangos was born in 1958 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He started playing the guitar under the tutealage of Professor Maria Herminia Antola de Gomez Crespo at the Conservatorio Juan Jose Castro in Buenos Aires. He received the degree of “Profesor Superior de Guitarra” after his graduation.

Victor Villadangos made his debut in 1980. Since then he has performed extensively throughout Europe, South America, USA, Canada and Japan, in most of the major concert halls of the world, both as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles. He has also performed and collaborated with famous Argentinian orchestras and organizations such as: Orquesta Sinfonica de Cuba, Orquesta Filarmonica de Montevideo, Orquesta Sinfonica de la Universidad Nacional de Cuyo, Orquesta Sinfonica Juan de Dios Filiberto, Orquesta Sinfonica Bridas, Orquesta de Camara Mayo, Orquesta de Camara del Museo Romulo Raggio, Cuarteto de Cuerdas de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata, and Cuarteto de Cuerdas de Buenos Aires, among others. Among the European countries he has given concerts in are Italy, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria, Sweden, Norway.

Victor Villadangos’ recordings include the production of six solo solo CDs, and one with the Cuarteto de Cuerdas de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata. These CDs give testimony to a prolific labor in the recording studio and feature world-premiere recordings of numerous works.

From 1990 to the present, Victor Villadangos has given master classes and seminars throughout Argentina including Tucuman, Salta, Jujuy, Santa Fe, Corrientes, San Luis, Puerto Madryn, Mendoza, San Juan and Mar del Plata and in Europe in cities like Frankfurt, Iserlohn, Cosfeld (Germany) and Curitiba in Brazil.

Victor Villadangos currently teaches guitar at the Conservatorio Juan Jose Castro and Conservatorio Manuel de Falla de Buenos Aires. He was recently awarded the “Diploma al Marito” from the KONEX foundation for his artistic endeavors and accomplishments over the last decade
