Sergio Sorrentino was born in Salerno, Italy, in the 1983. He started to play guitar at the age of ten with Francesco Langone. After, he studied classical and contemporary guitar with Angelo Gilardino and Luigi Biscaldi. He earned his classical guitar Diploma with full marks at the Avellino State Conservatory. He also studied with Leo Brouwer, Frank Gambale, Mario Dell'Ara, Maurizio Colonna.
